Reminder about scup...
Attention, Derby Participants:
Please be aware that any and all use of scup as bait is against Derby rules.
This ruling is supported by the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries.
"As of September 1, 2005, it is a violation of Massachusetts state law for recreational fishermen to possess scup, even if the scup were caught prior to September 1."

Beautiful Weekend for Fishing
It was a beautiful weekend on the Vineyard for fisherman eager to land the largest fish in the respective catagories of the 2005 Marthas Vineyard Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby.
A handful of shore fisherman (and boat) were first in line at the first weigh-in at 8:00am Sunday morning September 11th, 2005 each carrying sizable fish from a hard nights work. See more photos below from this weekend.
